Julius Abure has accused Peter Obi of being overly eager to take control of Nigeria’s presidency – www.naijnaira.com reports.
The Labour Party factional chairman claimed Obi was the root cause of the party’s ongoing turmoil.
Speaking to reporters, Abure alleged that Obi’s actions have been driven by a desire to dominate the party’s internal structure.
According to Seyi Babalola’s report, Abure accused the former Anambra governor of betraying the leadership that once supported him.
“This is why we have maintained that Peter Obi lacks the competence, character, and capacity to actualise the vision of a new Nigeria,” Abure stated.
He reminded Nigerians that the crisis now damaging the party was allegedly triggered by Obi himself.
Abure’s comments came in reaction to Obi’s political directives ahead of the August 16 nationwide by-elections.
