After 50 years of rocking out, Aerosmith has announced that they will be embarking on one final tour before calling it quits.
The tour, named “Peace Out,” will consist of 40 shows across North America, starting on September 2nd in Philadelphia and ending on January 26th in Montreal.
The bandmates, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, and Brad Whitford, have promised fans that this will be the best show of their lives.
However, drummer Joey Kramer will not be joining them on this farewell tour, as he wants to focus on his family and health.
The band’s recent Las Vegas residency inspired them to go on one last tour and celebrate their 50 years in the music industry.
Guitarist Joe Perry believes that it’s time to say goodbye, especially since every founding member of the band is over 70 years old.
The band is excited to perform their classic hits, such as “Crazy,” “Janie’s Got a Gun,” and “Livin’ on the Edge,” and to dig into their extensive catalogue.
Aerosmith has won four Grammys and has broken boundaries by collaborating with Run-DMC for “Walk This Way.”
They even had their own theme park attraction at Disney World in Florida and Paris.
The band has hinted that more cities could be added to the tour, but this will be their final farewell tour.
