Alex Iwobi scored a brace as Fulham defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1 in Thursday’s Premier League match at Craven Cottage.

The win marked Fulham’s sixth of the season, taking their tally to 22 points from 14 games, while Brighton remained fifth with 23 points.

Fulham took an early lead after Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen mishandled a pass inside his penalty area, allowing Iwobi to slot the ball into an empty net.

Despite dominating possession with 61%, Brighton struggled to capitalize, managing nine shots but failing to score in the first half.

Fulham’s defense, led by goalkeeper Bernd Leno, kept them ahead with two crucial saves.

In the second half, Brighton equalized in the 56th minute when Carlos Baleba finished a well-placed strike into the bottom corner, assisted by Joao Pedro.

However, Fulham regained the lead in the 79th minute through an own goal by Matt O’Riley, who turned in Andreas Pereira’s corner.

Brighton’s appeals for a foul on Lewis Dunk were rejected after VAR review.

Iwobi sealed the win in the 87th minute, controlling the ball in the box and curling a shot into the bottom corner to make it 3-1.

The victory moved Fulham into sixth place, leaving Brighton frustrated as they remain just one point ahead in fifth.
