The Court of Appeal in Abuja has dismissed rumors that Justice Boloukuoromo M. Ugo, a member of the Presidential Election Petitions Court, has resigned.

Reports circulating on social media claimed that Justice Ugo resigned due to concerns about being seen as biased towards President Bola Tinubu in the ongoing presidential election challenge.

However, the Secretary of the PEPC panel, Mrs Josephine J. Ekperobe, has called these reports “fake.”

The PEPC panel, consisting of five members, was established to hear petitions challenging the outcome of the presidential election.

The judgment on these petitions is expected to be delivered by September 16.
