Former Arsenal player and Crystal Palace manager, Patrick Vieira, has expressed interest in coaching the United States men’s national team.
Sources have revealed that Vieira was contacted by the United States Soccer Federation and is intrigued by the challenge of coaching the young team.
Despite being fired from Crystal Palace in March, Vieira has experience coaching in MLS with New York City FC and in France with Nice.
The US Soccer sporting director, Matt Crocker, has already begun interviewing coaching candidates for the national team, with more than 10 candidates from various countries being considered.
The previous coach, Gregg Berhalter, had his contract expire and is being investigated for a domestic violence allegation.
