Arsenal are set to sign Poland international Jakub Kiwior in a £21million transfer from Serie A side Spezia.
The 22-year-old defender will sign a five-year contract with the option of extending for another 12 months, and is currently undergoing a medical before penning the deal on Monday.
The move comes as Arsenal look to reinforce their defence in their bid for the Premier League title, having narrowly missed out on their primary target Mykhailo Mudryk who ended up at Chelsea instead.
With Gabriel Magalhaes providing consistent performances this season alongside William Saliba, Kiwior’s addition can give Mikel Arteta some much needed cover and additional competition.
Aside from centre back, Kiwior also adds experience in playing left back and defensive midfield.
This follows his impressive performance with Poland at the Qatar World Cup last year along with nine caps so far.
