Arsenal’s new signing, Jurrien Timber, suffered a serious injury to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee during his debut match for the club.

The extent of his absence from the team has not been determined yet, as Arsenal did not provide a timeframe for his recovery.

Timber, who recently joined Arsenal from Ajax, sustained the injury in the first half of the Premier League game against Nottingham Forest.

He will undergo surgery in the coming days and will be out of action for a significant period of time.

The club’s medical team and staff will now focus on Timber’s rehabilitation program to ensure a successful recovery and his return to the field as soon as possible.

ACL injuries can typically sideline players for up to 12 months, and Timber expressed his disappointment on social media, acknowledging that his injury is more severe than initially anticipated.
