Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the PDP, expressed frustration over his inability to access certified true copies of INEC materials needed to prosecute his petition against the victory of President Bola Tinubu, despite paying N6.69 million to the electoral body.

At a hearing, Chris Uche, counsel for the petitioners, informed the Presidential Election Petition Court that INEC had stated that the materials were not in Abuja for immediate access.

However, Uche stated that a letter had been written to INEC, and the counsel for the 1st respondent had expressed willingness to cooperate by ensuring some of the documents are accessed.

The court admitted exhibits comprising Form EC8B and marked them as PW1-10, even though Tinubu, APC, and INEC hinted at their intention to object to the documents at the final stage of address.

The hearing was adjourned to the next day for continuation.
