Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, widely known as AY, has spoken out in support of music legend 2Baba following his emotional apology video to his partner Natasha Osawaru, NaijNaira can report.

According to News, 2Baba came under fire after expressing his belief that men aren’t naturally built to remain sexually committed to one woman. His statement drew heavy backlash, leading him to post a heartfelt apology to Natasha, his children, and fans.

Reacting on social media, AY urged the public to take a step back from harsh criticism and consider the emotional struggles that many men, especially public figures, endure.

“It’s always easy to cast the first stone at the supposed offender,” AY wrote. “No one pauses to ask him the most human question—‘Are you okay?’”

He described 2Baba as a man owning up to his flaws under pressure, not to present himself as flawless, but to acknowledge his humanity.

AY added that society conditions men to hide their emotions, and when they finally speak, they are often ignored or blamed.

“Our vulnerability doesn’t protect us. It exposes us,” AY noted. “Na who them catch na him be thief.”
