Comedian Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has taken a step towards reconciliation by issuing a public apology for any past offences that may have hurt anyone.
In a heartfelt video shared on his Instagram account on Monday, Basketmouth expressed remorse and sought forgiveness from those he may have offended.
He began by addressing all the people in the industry and beyond whom he may have knowingly or unknowingly hurt, sincerely apologizing to them.
Basketmouth acknowledged his mistakes and asked for forgiveness from the bottom of his heart.
Furthermore, he addressed those who had accused him of doing things that affected their careers.
He chose not to accept or deny these allegations, leaving it to God to know the truth. Nevertheless, he pleaded for their forgiveness, emphasizing his genuine remorse.
On a more personal note, Basketmouth specifically apologized to his colleague AY, expressing uncertainty about the validity of his apology at this point.
He requested AY’s forgiveness for anything he may have done or said in the past that affected him in any way.
Basketmouth also declared that he had forgiven AY for any offences, whether intentional or unintentional, as he aimed for a future of peace and harmony between them.
