BBNaija Season 10
This year’s BBNaija marks a 90-day journey filled with weekly challenges, live evictions, diary sessions, and the usual dose of drama. The grand prize includes cash, a vehicle, and other brand-sponsored rewards. Contestants must comply with Big Brother’s regulations to avoid disqualification or penalties.
House Rules in Big Brother Naija Season 10
The rules for Season 10 remain stringent and are designed to ensure fairness, safety, and entertainment. Every participant must agree to these terms upon entry into the house.
Microphones Must Be Worn
All contestants are required to wear their microphones at all times, except when asleep or taking a shower. Any removal or tampering outside those moments violates the core rules.
No External Communication Allowed
Housemates are completely cut off from the outside world once the season begins. Mobile phones, television, internet, and even newspapers are prohibited during the entire show.
English Is the Default Language
The only accepted language in the BBNaija house is English. While Nigerian Pidgin is permitted, switching to native dialects may lead to warnings or disciplinary action.
Participation in Tasks Is Not Optional
Everyone is expected to actively contribute during group and individual tasks. Missing or boycotting assignments could result in reduced privileges or punishments.
No Negotiating the Grand Prize
Any discussions involving splitting the ₦150 million reward or making financial deals related to the prize are not permitted under the game rules.
Diary Room Obligations
When summoned by Big Brother for a diary session, housemates must respond promptly. Ignoring or delaying entry into the diary room without a valid reason is against the rules.
Whispering or Writing in Secret Is Banned
Covert communication is strictly banned. Whispering, lip movement, or note-passing in any form breaches the transparency policy enforced in the house.
Forming Secret Alliances Is Forbidden
Strategic planning or plotting behind closed doors to influence nominations or outcomes is prohibited. The game promotes independent decision-making.
Zero Tolerance for Hate or Discrimination
Racist comments, tribalism, homophobia, or any discriminatory behaviour will result in penalties or immediate removal. The show aims to foster mutual respect and inclusivity.
Physical Violence Leads to Expulsion
Aggressive conduct such as hitting, slapping, or threatening another contestant ends in disqualification. Arguments are acceptable, but physical contact is not.
Sexual Harassment Will Be Penalised
Uninvited touching or making sexual advances without consent breaches the code of conduct. Victims can report incidents to Big Brother for investigation and resolution.
Damaging Big Brother’s Property Is Unacceptable
All fixtures and items in the house belong to Big Brother. Deliberate damage or hiding of household equipment will attract fines or harsher measures.
Nominations Must Be Unbiased
Contestants must nominate others based on personal opinions alone. Persuading fellow housemates to vote a certain way is not tolerated.
Big Brother’s Authority Is Absolute
Big Brother has the final say in all matters. Defiance, arguments, or refusal to obey instructions can result in strikes, punishment, or eviction.
Defend the Head of House Title Weekly
Every Monday, the reigning Head of House must participate in a challenge to keep their title. Failure to defend their position means another housemate takes over leadership.
