Former Senator Ben Murray-Bruce and Senator Shehu Sani have both reacted to the confirmation of Dr. Olayemi Cardoso as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) by the Senate.
Murray-Bruce congratulated Cardoso and the four newly confirmed CBN Deputy Governors, stating that their leadership promises a brighter and more accountable future for the nation.
He expressed his belief that this confirmation marks a monumental era of transformative change.
On the other hand, Sani emphasized the expectations of Nigerians from the new CBN Governor, urging him to rescue the national currency, reset the monetary policy, and depoliticize the institution.
He also advised Cardoso to avoid political rice farmers, fake pyramids, forex sponges, and banking parasites.
