Besiktas have completed a major signing by securing Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel, who was previously linked with clubs in England and France.
According to Sozcu, Osayi-Samuel has joined Turkish giants Besiktas after leaving Fenerbahce on a free transfer. The Nigerian international agreed to a €2.5 million-per-year contract, turning down interest from Premier League and Ligue 1 sides, including Crystal Palace.
The 27-year-old is scheduled to undergo a medical in the coming days, with Besiktas planning to officially unveil him before pre-season begins on June 28.
Besiktas initially hoped to offer €2 million per year but eventually met Osayi-Samuel’s full wage request to complete the deal. The decision marks a significant step for the club as they aim to strengthen their squad under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
