During his visit to Nigeria, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates expressed his optimism for the country’s future and praised its creativity and entrepreneurship.
Speaking at an event in Lagos, Gates mentioned the popularity of Afro beats music and his daughter’s excitement at the possibility of seeing Burna Boy and Rema perform.
He also recalled being impressed by Davido and Wizkid during his previous visit.
Gates met with President Bola Tinubu and Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Group, as part of the Gates Foundation’s commitment to supporting innovation and working closely with communities and leaders.
Despite the challenges faced by Nigeria, Gates believes that its people will bring wonderful things to the world.
