Moises Caicedo has expressed his fear that he may miss out on a dream move to Arsenal or Chelsea this month after requesting a transfer from Brighton.
Reports suggest that both sides have made bids for the 21-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder, however, the Seagulls have yet to accept these offers.
Caicedo even took to social media in an emotional plea for them to grant his wish and allow him to pursue a switch during this window, admitting that it would also benefit Brighton financially.
Unfortunately, the club are said to be unhappy with his decision and have barred him indefinitely from their training facilities until after the close of the window.
Meanwhile, Roberto De Zerbi, manager of Brighton has remained somewhat enigmatic in an interview about the player’s future; simply stating that “We will see what happens tomorrow and the next day” and expressing hope that Caicedo stays with them until the end of season.
Ultimately, this situation is completely up to both parties: Caicedo and Brighton Football Club.
