Bruce Willis’s family have confirmed that the actor has been diagnosed with ‘painful’ frontotemporal dementia.
The iconic movie star, 67, had previously been diagnosed with aphasia, a condition affecting his cognitive abilities, but following further testing, it was determined that his diagnosis was more specifically frontotemporal dementia.
His daughter Rumer said: “While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis”.
The family did emphasize that communication difficulties are only one symptom of the disease Willis faces.
