President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his heartfelt condolences to former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, and members of his family, over the passing of their matriarch, Deaconess Victoria Nneka Osita, at the age of 75.
In a statement released on Wednesday by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, the President described the late Deaconess Osita as a woman of deep faith and love for people, whose life was a testament to her fear and reverence for God.
He urged the family to take comfort in her legacy of kindness and selflessness towards others, especially in her role as a mother, grandmother, wife, sister and worker in the Lord’s vineyard.
The President called on the family and friends of the deceased to seek solace in prayer and to trust in the will of God during this difficult period.
He also prayed for the peaceful repose of Mama Osi, as she was fondly called, and for strength and comfort for the bereaved family.
Deaconess Victoria Nneka Osita was known for her exemplary life of service to God and humanity. She was a devoted Christian who lived a life of love, compassion and generosity towards others.
Her passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Her son, Osita Chidoka, who served as Minister of Aviation under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, has received an outpouring of condolences from friends and well-wishers, who have expressed their sympathy and support during this difficult time.
Chidoka, who is also a former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, has thanked President Buhari and other well-wishers for their messages of condolence and support.
