The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has addressed the rumors surrounding the alleged suspension of former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
The party stated that the reports of Saraki’s suspension are unfounded and that they are being circulated by individuals who seek to create discord within the party.
The party clarified that a meeting held on June 1, 2023, to review the outcome of the 2023 general elections was misinterpreted by some disgruntled individuals.
The PDP urged its members and supporters to remain calm and disregard the rumors of Saraki’s suspension.
The communique reads in parts: “We urge our party members and supporters to be calm and discountenance the purported rumoured suspension of our leader, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki, by the State Working Committee members as mischievously circulated by some people aimed at causing disharmony in the party.”
