Bob Lee, the founder of Cash App, was tragically killed in San Francisco after an argument with an IT consultant over the consultant’s sister.
The suspect, Nima Momeni, drove Lee to a secluded area and stabbed him three times with a kitchen knife, including twice in the chest.
Momeni was arrested after a nine-day manhunt and will be charged with murder.
The court documents reveal that Lee and Momeni knew each other and had been hanging out in a hotel room before the argument occurred.
Lee had to reassure Momeni that nothing inappropriate had happened with his sister earlier that day.
Later that night, surveillance footage shows the two men getting into Momeni’s car and heading to a secluded area where the stabbing occurred.
Momeni then fled the scene. Lee was a well-known figure in the tech industry, having worked as the chief technology officer of Square and the founder of Cash App.
He was also an investor in SpaceX and other tech companies.
