Chris Hughton has been appointed as the new Head Coach of Ghana’s National Team, following in the footsteps of Otto Addo who was previously in the role.
With over 50 caps for the Republic of Ireland and having coached at many levels – including two spells as caretaker manager at Tottenham Hotspur – Hughton brings extensive experience to this position.
Born in England to Ghanaian and Irish parents, 64-year-old Hughton will use his wealth of knowledge to help guide the squad, which includes rising stars Abdul Fatawu, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and Mohammed Kudus.
His first task will be to lead them through the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers; with 26 points thus far, Ghana is currently topping their group.
The competition will take place next year in Egypt and the GFA confidently believes that Hughton can drive the team toward a successful finish.
