Media personality Chude Jideonwo has spoken candidly about the importance of being practical with money, especially during difficult economic times.
According to a report by Yewande Fasan published on April 26, 2025, via Entertainment, Jideonwo shared his thoughts on financial responsibility, investment choices, and resisting social pressure.
He recounted buying his first house in Lekki at the age of 24 after receiving a large sum of money, calling it a wise step in securing his future.
Jideonwo said that while others were upgrading their lifestyles frequently, he held onto the same car for 10 years before finally replacing it.
He made it clear that cars, in his view, are not a store of value, and people should think carefully before making expensive purchases.
Instead of making decisions based on what is popular or what influencers are doing, he encouraged people to consider what is truly affordable and sustainable.
“Never buy a thing that if you lose it you cannot replace it immediately. That means you cannot afford it,” he said.
He warned that many influencers may not be as financially stable as they appear online, and building a life based on their standards could lead to regrets later.
Jideonwo stressed the importance of avoiding decisions driven by perception and social pressure, especially in a time when the cost of living continues to rise.
