The Federal Government has cautioned Nigerians against a fake recruitment letter for the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) circulating on social media. The fraudulent letter is misleading job seekers and has raised serious concerns.
According to Guardian Nigeria, the CDCFIB clarified that although there is Presidential approval for recruitment into the four paramilitary services, the official recruitment process has not yet started.
In a statement, the Board’s Secretary, AM Jibril, stressed that genuine recruitment announcements would only be made through national newspapers and other verified platforms. He firmly warned, “The Board wishes to reiterate that for all its recruitment processes, appropriate notifications will be made via adverts in the national dailies, and the process will be carried out fairly and transparently, with no payment of any fee.”
The Board explained that the recruitment process involves multiple steps and advised the public to disregard the fake recruitment letter spreading on social media.
Nigerians have been urged to be vigilant and protect themselves from recruitment scams. The Board emphasized that no fees are required at any stage of its recruitment.
Authorities also advised job seekers to always confirm recruitment details through official government channels to avoid falling victim to fraudsters.
