Scott Parker was given his marching orders by Club Brugge on Wednesday morning, after a mere 67 days in charge.
This follows the 5-1 thrashing of Brugge at the hands of Benfica in the Champions League.
The sacking of Parker comes as no surprise as it had been reported that he would be on thin ice if Brugge lost the second leg.
Club Brugge wrote a brutal statement to announce Parker’s departure, citing his lacklustre performance and noted that he only won 2 out of 12 matches.
This is now the 3rd time Parker’s tenure as a senior manager has lasted no longer than two seasons.
It remains to be seen if he will take a break from coaching or search for another job elsewhere.
