Manchester United wantaway striker, Cristiano Ronaldo is set for a shock return to Real Madrid next year.

According to Sport, the Portugal captain reportedly wants to end his Manchester United nightmare and make a stunning return to Real Madrid next year.

Amid the fallout of his recent explosive interview, the 37-year-old has now offered himself to Real Madrid on a six-month contract.

The report added that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner wants to return to the Santiago Bernabeu as a replacement for the injured striker Karim Benzema in January.

Benzema was forced to pull out of France’s 2022 FIFA World Cup squad after picking up a thigh injury.

Recall that the Portuguese accused Man United of betraying him during his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan last week.

Man United are keen to terminate Ronaldo’s contract seven months early without paying any of the £16million the 37-year-old is predicted to earn by June 2023.
