Manchester United striker Anthony Martial’s reaction to being substituted during a match against Bournemouth has reportedly angered his manager, Erik ten Hag, to the point where he is now prepared to sell the Frenchman in the upcoming transfer window.
Despite ten Hag’s previous support for Martial, the 27-year-old’s season has been plagued by fitness concerns and he has only scored eight goals in 27 appearances as the team’s lead striker.
With Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure in January, United have struggled in the striking department, and even the addition of Wout Weghorst on a short-term deal has not improved the situation.
Ten Hag will be looking to sign a proven striker in the summer to address the team’s concerns.
