Aliko Dangote, the President of Dangote Group, has maintained his position as Africa’s wealthiest individual, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Despite the fluctuating Nigerian currency, Dangote’s wealth is valued at an impressive $15.6 billion, placing him at the top of the list of African billionaires.

The first and second richest individuals in the world are Elon Musk and Bernard Arnault, with fortunes of $219 billion and $194 billion respectively.

Jeff Bezos ranks third with $151 billion, followed by Bill Gates and Larry Ellison with net worths of $130 billion each.

Dangote’s consistent ranking reflects his successful business ventures and investments in various sectors.

Only five other Africans made the list of the world’s top 500 billionaires for the year 2023.
