Deadlock in FG, NLC Meeting Raises Uncertainty over Strike

The meeting between the Federal Government and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) ended without any resolution, raising uncertainty over a potential strike.

The Minister of Labour and Employment called the meeting, but none of the issues raised by the Union were addressed.

Despite this, the minister expressed optimism that the concerns of Nigerian workers would be addressed before the deadline.

The NLC President stated that there was no agreement on any of the issues discussed, including the NURTW, CNG, refineries, wage award, cash transfer, and ASUU issues.

The NLC remains committed to their planned indefinite strike if no progress is made before the expiration of their ultimatum.
