Famous Canadian rapper Drake has received a whopping of $1.84 million after Nigerian-New Zealand boxer Israel Adesanya defeated Alex Pereira at UFC 287 to reclaim the middleweight championship.
According to report, Israel regained the 185-pound title barely five months after losing it to Pereira, who had previously defeated him twice in kickboxing.
Following Israel’s victory, Drake received a $500,000 return on his bet on Adesanya’s victory as well as a $400,000 bet for him to win via knockout.
As a result of Adesanya’s dramatic second-round knockout of longtime foe Pereira, the Canadian rapper won a total of $1.8 million.
When asked about Drake’s bet after his fight, Adesanya said, “Shoutout to everyone that bet on me but you have to realise that when I step into the octagon I put my life on the line. That’s the biggest parlay you can ever do. I’m a betting man too so shoutout to stake, we are about to make another deal and get more money
