Roy Keane, a former Manchester United player, criticized Liverpool’s defense in their recent match against Arsenal, stating that they defended “like a pub team” in the first half.

Liverpool found themselves down 2-0 within the first half-hour of the game, but managed to come back and secure a 2-2 draw.

Keane was particularly frustrated with Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson’s first-half defending, calling Liverpool’s defense a “mess.”

Liverpool’s poor performance this season has been a disappointment, with the team currently sitting in eighth place in the Premier League table.

Keane believes that the players are letting their manager down and that their current position is “nowhere near good enough for a club like Liverpool.”

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher also weighed in, suggesting that the intense style of play that Klopp demands may have a limited shelf life for players.
