More than $100,000 (£80,000) has been raised by Taylor Swift fans to support the family of a man who passed away last week while returning home from one of her performances in Houston.
After a fatal hit-and-run, Jacob Lewis was killed by an alleged drunk motorist.
The 20-year-old’s automobile stalled on the Southwest Motorway on Saturday while he and his sister, April Bancroft, were returning from Taylor’s Eras Tour at the NGRG Stadium in Houston, according to authorities.
Tragically, the suspect fled the scene in a black Volkswagen Beetle as Jacob was sadly declared dead.
Since then, his family has organised a fundraiser in order to “honour the memory of [Jacob] by raising money for flowers and funeral costs.”
It was set up on the fundraising website GoFundMe with an aim of $75,000 (£60,000), but in just two days, that amount has already been surpassed.
