Arsenal are close to sealing a move for Viktor Gyökeres and have now set their sights on Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, NaijNaira can report.
Discussions between Arsenal and Sporting CP for Gyökeres have progressed, with only a few formalities remaining.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Swedish striker has agreed to a five-year deal, with talks over the weekend finalizing contract details.
Once Gyökeres signs, Arsenal plan to push ahead for Eze, who has Nigerian-Igbo roots and has impressed with consistent performances for Palace.
Romano also mentioned that Arsenal will make an official approach soon, aiming to land the creative midfielder without triggering his £60–68 million release clause.
Eze, born in London to Nigerian parents, has become a crucial figure at Palace, catching the eye with his ball control, vision, and set-piece skills.
“Arsenal have Eze on their radar and are preparing the next steps,” Romano reported.
Manager Mikel Arteta is focused on strengthening the midfield, targeting players who can unlock defenses and bring energy to the final third.
Sources say Arsenal may propose a player-plus-cash offer, potentially involving Fabio Vieira, Leandro Trossard, or Reiss Nelson.
Tottenham and Bayern are also monitoring Eze, adding urgency for Arsenal to secure the deal quickly.
Arsenal’s immediate priority remains finalizing the Gyökeres transfer before making their full move for Eze.
