The Ogunmola family has spoken out after the sudden passing of actress Peju Ogunmola’s only son, Ayomikun, clarifying the true cause of his death – www.naijnaira.com reports.
Online reports had suggested that the young man lost his life after slipping in a bathroom, but the family says that story is false, according to Punch Online.
In an emotional statement, the family’s spokesperson, Yemi Amodu, revealed that Ayomikun died in Ibadan after a brief illness, not from any accident.
He explained that the young man was given full medical attention before his death but eventually “peacefully answered the call of his creator.”
The statement described Ayomikun as “a jewel, a precious child, and a rising star whose light touched many lives.”
The family stressed that social media claims of a bathroom fall are misleading and urged the public to stop sharing them.
“These stories not only dishonour his memory but also bring unnecessary pain to his loved ones,” the statement warned.
Ayomikun’s burial has already taken place at Eternal Rest Home in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Friends, colleagues, and fans have been pouring in tributes, with actress Biola Adebayo calling the loss “devastating and heartbreaking.”
The grieving family expressed gratitude for the love and support received, praying that no other household should suffer such tragedy.
