FG Takes Steps to Ease Fuel Subsidy Removal with Free Solar Home Systems Distribution

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

In response to the adverse effects of fuel subsidy removal, the Nigerian Government has initiated the distribution of free solar home systems throughout the country.

The Rural Electrification Agency has been tasked with increasing the deployment of these systems to homes, schools, and hospitals.

The project is part of the Ministry of Power’s Poverty Reduction and Growth Strategy programme, aimed at reducing poverty and improving access to electricity.

The solar systems, which provide lighting, power for fans and televisions, have already been deployed in areas with inadequate power supply, such as the Makoko community in Lagos.

While the agency charges a fee for deployment to markets and agricultural plantations, the systems distributed to homes, hospitals, and schools are free of charge.

The project has received positive feedback from beneficiaries, and the agency plans to continue deploying more systems with additional funding.
