A Kano State High Court, presided over by Justice Usman Na’abba, has vacated the order suspending Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje as a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC). The order was initially granted in response to an application filed by Haladu Gwanjo and Laminu Sani Barguma, who claimed to be the chairman and secretary, respectively, of the APC Ganduje Ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of the state.

The respondents in the suit include the APC, the National Working Committee (APC), the State Executive Committee APC Kano Chapter, and Ganduje. Justice Na’abba granted the order after considering a motion ex-parte and a 27-paragraph affidavit dated April 22, sworn to by Glory Adah, a litigation secretary in the solicitors’ law firm representing the 4th respondent.

“After hearing Mr. L.O. Oyewoo, A. Falana Esq., and J. Essiet, counsel for the 4th respondent/applicant, an order of interim injunction is hereby granted,” Justice Na’abba held. The interim injunction order stays the execution of the previous interim injunction contained in the court’s ruling delivered on April 17. This order directs the parties to maintain the status quo ante as of April 15 regarding Ganduje’s suspension from the APC by the Ganduje Ward Executive Committee.

The judge has adjourned the matter until April 30 for the hearing of the case.
