Femi Fani-Kayode, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has suggested that former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, may be appointed as the new National Security Adviser (NSA).
Fani-Kayode shared pictures of himself, Ribadu, and Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, on his personal Twitter account, referring to Ribadu as “our incoming NSA.”
However, President Tinubu has yet to make any official appointments since the appointment of George Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Fani-Kayode has defended Ribadu against critics who argue that only a military man can handle the position of NSA, stating that retired police and intelligence officers have successfully held the position in the past.
