The fans of the WWE’s Royal Rumble event have come to expect a bevy of unexpected names in the titular bouts—this year’s Royal Rumble didn’t disappoint!

In the men’s showcase, Booker T entered at #21, Edge at #19, and Logan Paul at #29.

Cody Rhodes’ return had already been announced prior to his entrance, while Booker T was present for the event’s kickoff show.

When Edge joined he found himself in a familiar place—resuming hostilities with both Damien Priest and Finn Balor that later led to an aisleway brawl that also included Beth Phoenix and Rhea Ripley.

The big moment for Logan Paul came when he clashed with Ricochet as they tried to catch each other off guard with aerial moves from opposite sides of the ring- which ended shortly when Cody Rhodes threw him out.

On the female side, there were 9 surprises throughout the course of the match- first up was NXT Women’s champion Roxanne Perez at spot 8 who made a great impression before being thwarted by Damage CTRL.

Natalya returned after taking time away due to an injury at spot 11 only to get eliminated by Bayley and her partners soon afterward.

Other notable returns included Asuka (spot 16), Nia Jax (spot 30), Piper Niven (18) and Michelle McCool (25).

Chelsea Green proclaimed she was going dominate but, unfortunately for her, got eliminated five seconds later by none other than eventual victor, Rhea Ripley.

Indi Hartwell also entered at 18 spot but wasn’t able make much impact during her short stay in the bout before Sonya Deville sent her back home.
