Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah says he spent months trying to warn former President John Mahama about a looming disaster before the deadly Ghana Air Force helicopter crash – www.naijnaira.com reports.
Speaking during a Sunday service, the Glorious Word Power leader claimed he contacted Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, urging him to advise Mahama to avoid local flights.
According to YEN.com.gh, Bempah said his warnings stretched over three months, with repeated calls to an unnamed individual in an attempt to deliver the message.
“I told the archbishop to inform the President not to take any local flights, or we wouldn’t hear good news,” Bempah stated.
He alleged he even mentioned specific flight routes but declined to make them public.
The August 6 crash in Obuasi claimed eight lives, but Mahama was absent after changing plans to attend Côte d’Ivoire’s Independence Day instead.
Social media users have reacted with skepticism, questioning the timing and proof of his claims.
