Victor Osimhen’s transfer situation has taken a fresh twist as Galatasaray move closer to securing him on a permanent deal from Napoli, NaijNaira can report.

After failing to complete a switch to Manchester United last summer, Osimhen joined the Turkish club on loan and delivered a standout season with 26 goals and 5 assists in 30 appearances.

According to Manchester Evening News, talks between Galatasaray and Napoli are active, with a €75m (£65m) agreement reportedly in the works.

Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport previously stated United explored a player-plus-cash offer involving Joshua Zirkzee, though it never materialised.

Sacha Tavolieri claims both clubs are now closer than ever to finalising terms for the Nigerian international, who has just one year left on his Napoli contract.

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk said, “He’s living the best days of his life. The player will decide about his future, as he’s made an incredible contribution here.”

Buruk also dismissed Saudi Arabia links, saying, “Osimhen will make the choice. The part about him agreeing with the Arabian side is not true.”

With Newcastle and United circling, Galatasaray hope to seal the deal before another offer arrives.
