Google has officially rolled out its much-anticipated AI Mode in the UK after months of being limited to users in the US – www.naijnaira.com reports.
The feature, part of Google Search’s growing AI functionality, is powered by Gemini 2.5 and allows users to ask multi-layered questions in natural, everyday language.
According to Trusted Reviews, this tool can handle long and detailed queries like: “I’m planning a weekend in Edinburgh with foodie friends who love live music and hidden gems.”
Another example Google gives: “I’m new to golf and confused by all the clubs—what’s essential for beginners and what can I skip for now?”
When a user submits a query, AI Mode separates it into parts, delivering a summary with helpful links to give a broader understanding.
Google says this update allows its search engine to scan deeper across the web than regular methods ever could.
Users can search by typing, speaking, uploading a picture, or snapping one on the spot, thanks to AI Mode’s multimodal capability.
To try AI Mode, head to google.com/aimode, tap the AI Mode button in the search bar, or use it from the Google app on Android or iOS.
Access depends on account settings. Workspace accounts or users with search history turned off may need admin approval or settings tweaks.
AI Mode currently works only in English and is limited to users in the US, UK, and India.
