Arsenal are reportedly close to signing Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo before the closure of the January transfer window.
Mikel Arteta’s side saw a £60 million bid for the Ecuadorian sensation rejected on Friday, and it remains to be seen if they will submit an improved offer in hopes of signing him before Tuesday’s deadline.
Caicedo could mean bad news for three Arsenal players, though.
Mohamed Elneny is out of contract at the end of the season and already suffering from a knee injury which could keep him out for much of the remainder of this campaign; Declan Rice is expected to be targeted in the summer; Albert Sambi Lokonga could see his game time significantly decreased if Caicedo arrives and Charlie Patino may find himself blocked off, given that Xhaka, Partey, Caicedo, and Rice may all be ahead of him.
