I'm not bothered, May 29 Is only a swearing in ceremony - Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), remains unfazed by Bola Tinubu’s upcoming swearing-in ceremony as Nigeria’s president on May 29, 2023.

Atiku’s lead counsel, Chris Uche (SAN), stated that the ceremony is merely symbolic and does not restrict the court’s decision.

Atiku is confident that he will eventually reclaim his mandate in court and is pleased with the court’s commitment to a speedy resolution.

Atiku’s joint petition with the PDP argues that Tinubu’s victory was invalid due to non-compliance with the Electoral Act and alleged corrupt practices.

They seek to have the Certificate of Return issued to Tinubu by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) withdrawn and for Atiku to be declared the winner of the presidential election.
