Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has given a boost to Reds fans by revealing Diogo Jota and Virgil van Dijk are both on the verge of returning from injury.
The Reds have been without forward Jota, who has been nursing a calf injury since October, while Van Dijk’s five-game absence has kept him out of the team due to a hamstring problem.
According to Klopp, Jota is set to Return to full training with the team next week while Van Dijk should begin training parts during the same period.
The news comes as a welcome respite for Liverpool as they face Wolverhampton Wanderers in their upcoming Premier League match – Ibrahima Konate has also been ruled out with a hamstring issue.
Klopp also spoke about Chelsea’s spending spree this January window amounting to around £320 million, expressing bewilderment at how such splurges are made possible.
