On June 24, 2023, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will announce the cut-off for 2023 admissions into universities, polytechnics, and other tertiary institutions.
The decision will be made at an event held at the National Judicial Institute, attended by heads of tertiary institutions and regulatory bodies such as the National Universities Commission and the National Board for Technical Education.
Only two representatives from each institution will be welcomed, comprising the Head of the Institution and one official nominated by the Head.
The meeting will also discuss other critical issues concerning the education sector and set admission guidelines, evaluate the 2023 admission exercise, and decide the minimum admissible score for all tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
In 2022, institutions were granted the power to set their minimum allowable cut-off marks for admission, which they cannot go below once adopted and general concessions are reached.
