After their 3-0 victory against Liverpool at Molineux, the Wolverhampton Wanderers’ social media team took a cheeky dig at Jurgen Klopp.
After Joel Matip and Craig Dawson scored two goals for Wolves, Ruben Neves put the finishing touches in the second half with a counter attack goal.
Klopp, however, dismissed Neves’ strike in his post-match press conference arguing that it was “the first time they passed the halfway line in the second half”.
This prompted an opportunistic response from the Wolves’ social media team who posted a reworked version of the score graphic without Neves’ goal.
Wolves have previously caused controversy with their creative social media posts.
Prior to their match up against Nottingham Forest back in October, Dennis Emmanuel played around with some wolves and posted on Twitter – prompting Wolves to respond with an axe chopping down a tree and captioned “playtime’s over”.
The game ended 1-0 due to Neves’ goal.
