Umar Doguwa, the chairman of Kano State NNPP, has asked the APC to seek legal redress, if they’re dissatisfied with the election results.
Abba Kabir Yusuf, the NNPP’s flagbearer, was announced winner of the Governorship elections in the state.
The event marked the first time the NNPP will produce a governor in Kano.
However, since the announcement of NNPP’s candidate as the Governor-elect, members of the APC have alleged election misconduct and violence, in a bid to upturn the final results.
The APC’s legal counsel, Abdullahi Fagge, disclosed that party members will peacefully protest the results.
Doguwa, in response, claimed that the elections were free and fair, encouraging his opponents to concede the ‘painful’ defeat.
