Kevin Costner, the Academy Award-winning actor, has filed for divorce from his wife of almost 19 years, Christine Baumgartner.
The news was confirmed by Costner’s representative, who stated that circumstances beyond his control had led to the dissolution of the marriage.
Costner and Baumgartner began dating in 1998 and got married in 2004, sharing two sons and a daughter.
This was Costner’s second marriage, having previously been married to Cindy Silva, with whom he shares three adult children.
Costner is currently starring in the popular Paramount western series Yellowstone, but there are rumors that the show may end after its fifth season due to friction between Costner and the show’s creator.
Despite this, Costner recently won a Golden Globe for his role in the show.
