Afrobeats sensation Kizz Daniel has released a new extended play (EP) titled Lemon Chase. NaijNaira learnt the seven-track project dropped in the early hours of Friday and sets the stage for his upcoming studio album, Uncle K.

Lemon Chase brings together a powerful blend of storytelling and rhythm, capturing emotions of love, peace, loss, and joy. Kizz Daniel’s lyrical direction in this EP feels raw and intentional, offering something that listeners from all walks of life can connect with.

From the opening track Black Girl Magic to the closing anthem Police, the EP carries a strong emotional thread. Police features Mavin Records’ Johnny Drille and five-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo. The unique blend of Drille’s soulful style and Kidjo’s legendary presence enhances the depth of the track, leaving a lasting impression.

The project also features the street-inspired flair of Bella Shmurda, Odumodublvck, and a reunion with Zlatan and Fola. Their previous collaboration with Kizz Daniel on Lost gained major traction, and this follow-up continues that momentum.

Production was handled by Reward Beatz, Blaise Beatz, Magic Sticks, Bando, and Ayzed—all trusted names with proven chemistry with the singer. Reward Beatz co-produced both Eyo and Black Girl Magic with Bando and Blaise Beatz. Blaise Beatz also produced Secure and Peace I Chose, while Titi was brought to life by Magic Sticks with co-production from Reward Beatz and Blaise Beatz. Al Jannah was crafted by Ayzed.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the EP, Kizz Daniel said:

“When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it. I wanted this project to feel like real life; sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful. This is music for your heart, for when you’re healing, or hoping, or remembering. I just wanted it to be honest, authentic and true to self.”

Kizz Daniel, born Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, broke into the Nigerian music scene in 2015 with Woju. He was initially signed to G-Worldwide Entertainment but later parted ways due to legal disputes. In 2017, he launched his own label, Flyboy Inc, before handing over leadership to his former label boss, Emperor Geezy.
