Labour Party in Turmoil as State Chairpersons Storm National Secretariat

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

The Labour Party (LP) has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of planting saboteurs to cause crises within the party.

In a statement on Tuesday, the partyโ€™s acting Youth leader, Kenedy Ahanotu, alleged that the partyโ€™s former publicity secretary, Abayomi Arabambi, as well as southwest party chieftains, Akingbade Oyelekan and Lamidi Apapa, were all agents of the APC.

According to the statement, Arabambi became aggrieved after his rejection as the head of media and publicity of the Presidential Campaign Council.

The LP accused the former publicity secretary of working with the APC campaign council during the electioneering season and being responsible for the attack on the partyโ€™s National Secretariat in Abuja.

The LP has described itself as a party without structure, bereft of billionaire sponsors, and no government patronage.

The party alleged that Arabambi worked with the APC governor throughout the campaign and has been promised a position in the new cabinet, even after being rewarded in cash.

The LP statement said, โ€œNow with the development after the presidential election, where our candidate is believed to have clearly won the election, but was robbed of victory, the APC leaders have reportedly reached out to him with mouth-watering offers to sustain the bickering and ensure that court cases filed by our presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi suffer damages owing to this imaginary faction heโ€™s bent on creating.โ€

The statement also claimed that Arabambi deceived a few members of the partyโ€™s National Working Committee members through his partner Akingbade, aided with thugs and protected by the police force to break into the party offices.

The party reaffirmed Julius Abure as the partyโ€™s authentic national chairman who has โ€œtaken the labour party to an enviable height, and as a political party, we cherish his leadership.โ€

The LPโ€™s statement has not yet been responded to by the APC, and it remains to be seen whether the allegations will be investigated.

However, political analysts believe that the allegations could have far-reaching implications for both parties, especially if they are proven to be true.

In the meantime, the LP has urged its members to remain calm and focused on the partyโ€™s goals, stating that โ€œour eyes are firmly fixed on the future and the partyโ€™s progress, not on the antics of saboteurs and detractors who seek to undermine our great party.โ€
