The All Progressives Congress (APC) has revealed the winners of its chairmanship primaries held across Lagos State’s 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
According to Naija News, 51 candidates emerged from the largely peaceful exercise, which featured a mix of consensus and electoral selection processes. These candidates are expected to contest in the upcoming local government elections scheduled for July 2025.
The primaries saw strong interest from party faithful and supporters across the state. Some areas experienced minor disruptions, but the party stated that these were quickly resolved. One party official noted, “The process was largely peaceful, reflecting the unity within our ranks.”
