The Lagos State government has issued a warning to residents regarding the crossing of the Blue Rail track.

As the rail line is electrified, residents are advised to use the overhead bridges instead.

The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Gboyega Akosile, emphasized the danger of crossing the rail lines and urged residents to utilize the government-provided overhead bridges.

The General Manager of Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, Abimbola Akinajo, expressed concern over people cutting fences and running across the rail track, despite the availability of pedestrian crossings and accessibility options for individuals with physical challenges.

The first phase of the Blue Rail line extends from Marina to Mile 2, with stations located in Marina, National Theatre, Iganmu, Alaba, and Orile.
